Chinese Government Scholarship-Bilateral Program 2026

(Postgraduate Program)

I. Brief Introduction:

Bilateral Program includes a full or partial scholarship established by the Ministry of Education of China in accordance with educational exchange agreements or consensus between Chinese government and governments of other countries, institutions, universities or international organizations.

The Bilateral Program supports undergraduate students, graduate students, general scholars and senior scholars. Please submit applications to the dispatching authorities for overseas study in your home country.

This scholarship is Type A in the CSC system.

II. How to Apply for the Scholarship:

1. Where to Apply

Apply to the dispatching authorities for overseas study in your home country (Chinese Embassies abroad, etc.). Choose Zhejiang University as your target university. Please note that Zhejiang University does NOT directly accept the application.

2. When to Apply

In general, from January to the beginning of April each year. Please consult the dispatching authorities for the specific deadline.

3. For detailed information about the scholarship, please visit the website of CSC Scholarship (Link).

4. Admission documents will be sent to the applicant by the the dispatching authorities directly.

III. Application Duration for a Pre-admission Notice for CSC Bilateral Program:

From November 15，2025 to February 28, 2026. (All dates and times listed are Beijing time. The deadline includes the day itself.)

IV. Eligibility & Application Process for a Pre-admission Notice for CSC Bilateral Program:

Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria for Zhejiang University postgraduate application. 

Please refer to the 2026 Application Guide for Master’s Degree Programs and Doctoral Degree Programs for details.

1.Applicants must obtain the Form for Provisional Acceptance of International Student by ZJU Supervisor (signed by the supervisor ) and upload it to the Online Application System for International Students of Zhejiang University. (Excluding the following programs: Master’s degree program in Enterprise Management, Master’s degree programs provided by the Institute of China Studies and International Business School, Zhejiang University）

2. Applicants must log in to the Online Application System for International Students of Zhejiang University (Link), clearly fill in and completely upload the application materials as required (CSC Type A applicants are not required to pay the application fee).

In addition to the application documents required in the application guide of Master's Degree Programs and Doctoral Degree Programs, scholarship applicants must also upload the following supplementary materials.

2.1 Foreigner Physical Examination Form (Click the filename to download). This form is uniformly printed by the Chinese health and quarantine department and needs to be filled out in English.

The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. In view of the fact that the examination results are valid for 6 months, applicants are requested to reasonably arrange the time for their physical examination accordingly.

2.2 Non-Criminal Record Certificate.The applicant shall submit a valid certificate of Non-Criminal Record issued by the local public security authority within 6 months prior to the submission date of the application.

3.After completing online application, ZJU application number should be sent to admissionphd@zju.edu.cn (Doctoral Degree Program) or admissionmaster@zju.edu.cn (Master’s Degree Program) .

Note : Pre-admission Notice for CSC Bilateral Program is not an official admission notice and is only used as a supplementary material for applying for the Chinese Government Scholarship.
