Nowadays, most international students are studying online, isolated in their home countries due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Recently, the Sports and Recreation Department of the International Student Union (ISU) organized an event The Fitness Challenge.

The Fitness Challenge was a 14-days running challenge which required students to run between 2.5km and 3.5km every day during the event. Thirty international students from 10 countries took part in the event actively . In order to encourage the students to complete the challenge, ISU paired a sports assistant for each participant to accompany them online and cheer them up!

At the end of the activity, 18 students overcame the COVID-19, weather, physical and mental difficulties to complete the challenge. The participating students said that this activity helped them develop the habit of exercising, integrating sports into their daily life and enjoying the fun brought by sports. After that, ISU will hold more online activities that students like to enrich the extracurricular life of international students.
