Application Guide for English-taught Undergraduate Engineering Programs (2026)
I. General Information
In order to further bring into play Zhejiang University’s remarkable advantages in engineering education and also the resources and strength of international talent training in the university’s Haining International Campus, and to attract more prospective outstanding international students in engineering field, Zhejiang University offers the following English-taught undergraduate engineering programs:
1.College of Electrical Engineering: Electrical Engineering and Automation (Link)
2.College of Information Science and Electronic Engineering(Link): Electronic Science and Technology, Information Engineering.
3.College of Control Science and Engineering: Automation (Link)
4.College of Optical Science and Engineering: Optical Information Science and Engineering (Link)
Note:
1.Students who are enrolled into programs provided by the following Colleges will spend first three years of study at International Campus, Haining, and final year study at Yuquan Campus, Hangzhou, namely, College of Electrical Engineering, College of Information Science and Electronic Engineering, College of Control Science and Engineering, College of Optical Science and Engineering .
2.Students enrolled in the above-mentioned programs can apply for a specialty transfer to any of them during their studies, but can not transfer to other undergraduate programs of Zhejiang University.
3.Students in registration of the above-mentioned programs will be granted Bachelor's Degree of Zhejiang University after successful completion of their studies.
4.Haining is a county-level city in Zhejiang Province, China, and under the jurisdiction of Jiaxing. It is 125 km (78 mi) to the southwest of central Shanghai, and 61.5 km (38.2 mi) east of Hangzhou, the provincial capital. To its south lies the Qiantang River. It is in the south side of Yangtze River Delta, and in the north of Zhejiang Province.
II. Application Duration: From December 1,2025 to February 28, 2026.
Please make sure to complete the online application before the deadline.
Note: Applicants must complete the application in the Online Application System for International Students (Link) before the deadline, and pay the application fee. Applications without the application fee paid before the deadline will be considered invalid. All dates and times listed are Beijing time. All deadlines include the day itself.
III. Application fee, Tuition & Scholarship
1.Application fee: RMB 800 yuan ( non-refundable).

Electrical Engineering and Automation, Electronic Science and Technology, Information Engineering, Optical Information Science and Engineering | RMB 80,000 yuan / Academic Year | Each international student admitted, will be granted a support scholarship, which covers: •Partial Tuition Waiver: RMB 32,000 yuan/ Academic Year Each scholarship will be reviewed annually and renewed up to four academic years on the conditions that the student meets requirements for satisfactory progress toward the degrees and follows the rules of Zhejiang University. |
Automation | RMB 80,000 yuan / Academic Year | Scholarship to outstanding applicants： Full-scholarship: RMB 80,000 yuan / Academic Year Half-scholarship: RMB 40,000 yuan / Academic Year Each scholarship will be reviewed annually and renewed up to four academic years on the conditions that the student meets requirements for satisfactory progress toward the degrees and follows the rules of Zhejiang University. |
3.Accommodation Fee: Haining Campus: RMB 8,000 ~10,000yuan/ Academic Year;
Yuquan Campus: please refer to the Life Guide (Link) on the website of the International College of Zhejiang University.
4.Way of Payment: Application fee and tuition fee should be paid in the online application system.If one fails to make the online payment, then one MUST remit the fees to the University’s Bank Account (Link). Please mark application number and name when remitting, and upload the remittance letter to the online application system.
