Ⅰ. The Dormitory Buildings for International Students

There are Zijingang Campus East International Students Dormitory and Zijingang Campus West International Students Dormitory; Yuquan Campus Chu Kochen Hall of International Education, International Students Dormitory, Dormitory No. 23 & 24 and Huajiachi International Students Dormitory. Foreign Expert & Student Service Center of Zhejiang University is in charge of the reservation, arrangement and daily management of accommodation for international students. Accommodation for international students of Zhoushan Campus and International Campus is managed by the respective campus.

Ⅱ. Accommodation Fee Rate for International Students (Unit: RMB Yuan)

Long-term students refer to those who live for more than three months in a row, and the accommodation fee does not include utilities bills and bedding expenses. Short-term students are those who live continuously for less than three months. Utilities bills are included in their accommodation fee.

1.  Zijingang Campus East International Students Dormitory (Building A and B)

Notes: 

1. The accommodation fee standard for international students was discussed and approved at the 3rd meeting of Zhejiang University Fee Management Group in 2021.

2. The above accommodation fee standard is effective from January 1st , 2023, and old students will be charged according to the original standards.

3. Long-term students refer to those who live for more than 90 days in a row. Short-term students are those who live continuously for less than 90 days.

4. Long-term students pay for accommodation fee per academic year. They should pay for at least one academic year before moving in or renewal. If they pay accommodation fee by installments within a year, or change rooms of different types during the course of study, their lengths of accommodation are less than one academic year, the room rate will be calculated on a daily basis. Short-term students pay for accommodation fees in accordance with their study length. 

Ⅲ. The Rules of Reservation for International Student Accommodation

International students who need to apply for on-campus accommodation are required to reserve dormitory online. The specific booking information will be available at designated time by visiting the international college website (http://iczu.zju.edu.cn/). The reservation notice and reservation process will be posted online. The reservation website is: http:// dorm.zju.edu.cn.

Ⅳ. Frequently- Asked Questions about Accommodation

1. What should I do if I fail to make online reservation?

Students without a successful online reservation will not be arranged for on-campus accommodation by the policy of the university. Therefore, you should prepare for the off-campus accommodation before your arrival.

2.Can I move into the dorm room earlier than the registration day with a successful reservation?

All new students are allowed to check in maximum 3 days prior to the registration date printed on the admission letter according to the relevant regulations of our university. Moreover, all students living on campus are required to check in and register within 24 hours after arrival with valid credentials. For check-in, please go to the reception of each International Students Dormitory.

3.Can I be arranged if I take my family with me?

No, we do not provide family accommodation. You need to arrange it by yourself.

4. Do I need to register if I live off campus?

Yes. Students must, first of all, submit an Application Form for Off-campus Dwelling of International Students at Zhejiang University to relevant office of International College and provide relevant documents, such as lease contract, for verification. They must not start dwelling off campus before obtaining the consent from the International College.

Within 24 hours after move-in, they must go to the local police station in the dwelling area for a residence registration, taking with them their own passports. Please refer to Regulations on Management of Off-campus Dwelling for International Students for more detailed information.
