To better ensure the traffic and fire safety for teachers and students, and to improve the management and service of electric bicycles, it has been decided to carry out registration and licensing of electric bicycles on campus. The details are as follows:
I Eligibility for Licensing
Electric bicycles used by teachers, students, and staff on campus that meet mandatory national standards and have obtained compulsory product certification.
II Schedule
September 9 to September 30, 2024: Class of 2024 and logistics staff.
October 8 to December 31, 2024: Students of other grades and teaching staff.
III Specific Procedures
(i) Online Real-name Application
a. Teachers, students, and staff can register through the “Zhejiang University Ding (浙大钉)” to access “Safe Zhejiang University (平安浙大)” or through the “Safe Zhejiang University” WeChat public account to enter “Service Management”.
b. After completing the campus traffic safety test, fill in personal and electric bicycle information and sign a usage commitment letter. Once approved, schedule a licensing time and location and generate an appointment form.
(ii) Offline Licensing
Owners who have completed the registration should bring the electronic version of the licensing appointment form and their electric bicycles to the licensing point at the scheduled time, where onsite staff will install the campus license plate.
IV Kind Reminders
a. Electric bicycle licensing requires real-name registration, and each person is limited to registering one bicycle.
b. The validity of the campus license plate coincides with the owner’s study or employment period at the campus. The campus license plate automatically becomes invalid when the owner resigns or graduates.
c. Once installed, the campus license plate must not be dismantled or transferred to another at will. The owner is responsible for the management of the license plate and use of the electric bicycle.
d. There is no fee charged for the electric bicycle licensing.
