The selection process for the International Student Honorary Titles and Academic Year Summary of Zhejiang University for the 2024-2025 academic year is about to begin. The relevant matters are notified as follows：

I.Academic Year Summary

1. Target Participants

Full-time international undergraduate and postgraduate students registered at the university in the 2024-2025 academic year;

2. Requirements

International students are required to complete the academic year summary about your study life of the 2024-2025 academic year. You  must fill out the "Zhejiang University International Student Academic Year Summary Form" on the "International Student Service Platform"(URL:https://intlstudent.zju.edu.cn/isstu), print it, and have it commented by their class teacher/tutor. Then you should upload it to the "International Student Service Platform" and submit a print-out version to the contact person at their respective campus.

II. Selection of International Student Honorary Titles

(I) Selection basis

Measures for the Evaluation and Management of International Student Honorary Titles of Zhejiang University (Trial), Guidelines for Awarding Honorary Titles to International Students of Zhejiang University.

(II) Eligible candidates

Full-time international undergraduate and postgraduate students registered at the university in the 2024-2025 academic year (except students who extend their study period).

(III) Basic eligibility requirements

1. With good moral character, be physically and mentally healthy, and exhibit well-rounded personal development;

2. Abide by Chinese laws, regulations, and national policies, comply with the university's disciplines and rules, and have no record of illegal or disciplinary violations;

3. Study diligently, maintain academic integrity, and achieve excellent grades;

4. Respect teachers, foster unity among classmates, actively participate in social practice, undertake social work, or engage in community service activities.

(IIII) Honorary title categories and evaluation

The international student honorary titles in this selection include International Student Individual Award and Honorary Title for Outstanding International Student. Individual awards for international students include Honorary Titles for Academic Excellence, Academic Research Excellence, Excellence in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Excellence in Public Service, Extracurricular Excellence and Excellence in International Cooperation and Communications. The specific evaluation conditions are as follows.

1. International Student Individual Awards

（1）Honorary Title for Academic Excellence

Evaluation criteria: Demonstrated diligence in study with outstanding academic performance. Academic performance ranks top among international students in their respective fields (humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, engineering, agriculture, or medicine) for the 2024-2025 academic year.

（2）Honorary Title for Academic Research Excellence

Evaluation criteria: Excellent performance in academic research, subject competitions, scientific and technological inventions, etc., with significant scientific research and innovation capabilities. Undergraduate and master’s applicants must have published at least one high-quality paper or achieved other notable research accomplishments; applicants for doctoral students must have published at least 2 high-quality papers or achieved other significant research accomplishments.

（3）Honorary Title for Excellence in Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Evaluation criteria: Outstanding performance in innovation and entrepreneurship education or practice, especially in achieving outstanding results in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions at university level, provincial level, or higher.

（4）Honorary Title for Excellence in Public Service

Evaluation criteria: Outstanding performance in public service activities, volunteer services, social practice, club management, peer support, labor practice, etc., earned widespread recognition from teachers and students.

（5）Honorary Title for Extracurricular Excellence

Evaluation criteria: Demonstrated talent in cultural and sports activities, active participation in various school-organized events, and perform outstandingly in important cultural and sports activities.

（6）Honorary Title for Excellence in International Cooperation and Communications

Evaluation criteria: Actively participate in Chinese and foreign exchanges, and perform outstandingly in cultural exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations.

2. Honorary Title for Outstanding International Student

Evaluation criteria: Those well-rounded students must win the Honorary Title for Academic Excellence or the Honorary Title for Academic Research Excellence for the 2024-2025 academic year, as well as at least one other individual award; In addition, they must actively participate in various activities organized by the university and perform outstandingly.

(V) Application method

Applicants should fill out the "Zhejiang University International Student Honorary Title Application Form for the Academic Year 2024-2025" and upload it to the "International Student Service Platform" (URL:https://intlstudent.zju.edu.cn/isstu). For platform operating instructions, please refer to the "Academic Year Summary and Online Application Guide for Honorary Titles on the International Student Service Platform" (Attachment). Meanwhile, submit the signed print-out version of the "Zhejiang University International Student Honorary Title Application Form for the Academic Year 2024-2025" to the designated contact person at your respective campus.

Academic scores are based on scores derived from the undergraduate and graduate school systems; scientific research achievements must be provided with relevant certification materials and signed by on-campus tutors; social activity scores are certified by the relevant responsible departments.

(VI)Deadline for application

5:30 pm on Monday, October 31st, 2025

Please apply on time for electronic application materials(subject to the uploaded time in the application system) and print-out version materials(subject to registration time by contact person). Late application will not be accepted.
