The day of March 30 has witnessed the successful opening of 2013 Spring Zhejiang University Doctoral and Master��s Degree Commencement Exercises held at Sir Run Run Shaw Auditorium, Yuquan Campus. Thousands of graduates from different colleges and departments atZhejiangUniversityhave received doctoral degrees or master��s degrees in this spring, including nine International students fromThailand,Bangladesh,Egypt,Japan,Sri Lanka,Laos,MalaysiaandGhana.

The university leaders address exciting and encouraging speeches at the ceremony, expressing their sincere congratulations and great expectations. Then with the bright music, directors and professors from different colleges and departments announce the names of the graduates. Excellent young people in academic costume step onto the stage orderly to receive the degree certificates. The university leaders shake hands with the graduates, issue the degree certificates and set the tassels straight for them.

Six of the nine International students who have successfully fulfilled the requirement of their study atZhejiangUniversityand receive the degrees this March attend the ceremony. Among them, Alfred, a former graduate fromGhana, comes from afar specially for this big ceremony held by his Alma Mater. As a time-honored and well-known institute of higher learning,ZhejiangUniversityhas beautiful campuses, advanced teaching facilities and perfect environment for study, which attract tens of thousands of International students to further their study and pursue knowledge here. They make great achievements in harvest seasons and help to promote the cultural exchanges and communication betweenChinaand the rest of the world.

Towards the end of the conferring ceremony, the International students take pictures with their teachers and classmates one by one, their faces glowing with vigor and happiness. For these graduates, this ceremony is like a milestone which records their pains and gains and meanwhile declares the commencement of a brand new life stage.
