��The new era, let's enjoy it! �� The international studentsspeech competition and the qualifying test of the 15th ��Zijingang Cup�� Mandarincompetition of Zhejiang University, was successfully held on October 25th.

    After the primary selection, a total of 23international students from 11 countries took part in the competition. Dr. GaoNing and Dr. Lv Yanxing, two Chinese Language teachers, and Xing Han, thechampion of Zhejiang Province Youth Speech contest, acted as judges. Inaddition, Lu Zhengzhong, Vice Dean of International College, Ye Wen, WangSainan and Shen Dan, counsellors of international students attended the event.

    With "China in the eyes of internationalstudents in this new era" as the speech��s theme, from their ownexperiences and different perspectives, the contestants told their audiencewhat they learned, what they felt and what they thought about the new age ofChina, ranging from the development of China since the reform and opening-updays to the beautiful mountain and water of Zhejiang province, from theirexperience of studying in Zhejiang University to their understanding about thebeauty of Chinese language, and so on.

    Xie Yunni fromIndonesia, Chen Ruijie fromCambodiaand Christian from Congo-kinshasa won the first prize in the speech competition. They will represent our University to attend the 12th ��MengxingZhejiang�� speech contest for international students inZhejiangProvince. Other ten students are going to attend the 15th contest of ��Zijingang Cup�� Mandarin competition final ofZhejiangUniversity.
