On the afternoon of April 16, 2026, the “ZJU-Middle East: A Shared Journey” International Student and Alumni Exchange Meeting was held at Zhejiang University. International students from the Middle East and alumni representatives of the ZJU Alumni Association Middle East Branch gathered to engage in in-depth discussions on topics including academic development, employment and internships, and entrepreneurial exploration.

Attendees included Mr. He Zhijun, Secretary-General of the ZJU Alumni Association Middle East Branch; Ms. Chen Jiali, Deputy Secretary-General; Ms. Guo Xingyu, Director of the Overseas Development Department of the Zhejiang University Development and Liaison Office; Mr. Ye Sheng, Deputy Director; along with several alumni guests.

Secretary-General He Zhijun introduced the organizational structure and founding background of the ZJU Alumni Association Middle East Branch. Drawing on his own academic experience at ZJU and professional career, he encouraged students to make full use of the university’s resources and to plan their studies and career paths effectively. Current students shared their learning experiences and future aspirations, while also raising questions and reflections regarding career choices and cross-cultural adaptation.

Faculty and students in attendance agreed on the need to further strengthen the ties between Zhejiang University and its alumni in the Middle East. They called for building more practical and open platforms to support student growth and success, and to continuously enhance ZJU’s international reputation.
