To strengthen alumni ties, deepen emotional connections, and chart a shared path forward, the International College of Zhejiang University hosted the “Return to ZJU, Reimagining the Future” Circle+ International Alumni Roundtable on the morning of December 27. The event brought together ViceDean Chen Nanfei, Executive Vice President of the International Alumni Association of the International College Lu Zhengzhong, faculty representative Liu Yan, nearly 30 alumni representatives, and current international students in a warm and lively  atmosphere.

At the opening session, Vice Dean Chen Nanfei welcomed the alumni back to their alma mater and expressed her sincere appreciation for their continued support of the College. She emphasized that international alumni are among Zhejiang University's most valuable assets and serve as important ambassadors connecting the University with the world. She noted that the College remains committed to strengthening its global alumni network and looks forward to working closely with alumni to further advance the internationalization of Zhejiang University.

Two distinguished alumni were invited to deliver keynote speeches. Quan Bingyu, an alum from the Class of 2018 majoring in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL), fondly recounted his fulfilling years at ZJU. Beyond excelling academically, he actively participated in language learning, cross-cultural internships, public service, and student organizations. He also founded a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the development of international students in China, exemplifying the well-rounded excellence and social responsibility emblematic of ZJU students. Zhang Jiali, an alum from the Class of 2005 majoring in Chinese Language and Culture, shared vivid memories of his life on campus over a decade ago. He praised the remarkable progress the university has made in the educational environment, support services, and global influence, expressing deep gratitude for the cultivation he received and his best wishes for the alma mater's continued flourishing.

During the discussion session, alumni introduced their current careers and personal developments, reminisced about their campus experiences, and exchanged ideas on alumni network development, cross-cultural collaboration, and career support. Ms. Liu Yan, a faculty representative with years of experience teaching Chinese to international students, expressed her delight at seeing so many familiar faces return to campus and encouraged alumni to stay connected with the College.

Mr. Lu Zhengzhong, Executive Vice President of the International Alumni Association of the International College, thanked the alumni for their enthusiastic participation and genuine sharing. He noted that the International Alumni Association will continue improving its services and strive to build a welcoming and supportive community for alumni around the world.

At the conclusion of the event, Vice Dean Chen Nanfei presented commemorative certificates to Quan Bingyu and Zhang Jiali in recognition of their inspiring presentations and continued support for alumni activities. The “Return to ZJU, Reimagining the Future” Circle+ International Alumni Roundtable concluded in a warm and memorable atmosphere. More than a reunion, the event served as a platform for exchanging ideas, strengthening global connections, and envisioning future collaboration. The International College will continue to enrich its alumni engagement initiatives, deepen partnerships with graduates worldwide, and work together with its global alumni community to write new chapters in Zhejiang University's international exchange and cooperation.
