On March 3 and 4, incoming students of Zhejiang University's 2026 Spring & Summer Chinese Language Program completed registration at Yuquan Campus. As the Year of the Horse began and families across China celebrated the Lantern Festival, hundreds of new students from more than 80 countries left their home countries to embark on a new academic journey at Zhejiang University, sharing in a reunion that brought together people from around the world.

Shortly after 8:00 a.m., the registration hall was bustling with activity. Faculty and staff from the Office of International Chinese Language Education and the Chinese Language Teaching Center were stationed throughout the venue to assist students at every step. From dormitory check-in and document verification to campus card registration, the entire process was carefully organized and ran smoothly. The efficient arrangements and attentive support helped new students quickly settle into campus life. Students from diverse cultural backgrounds introduced themselves to one another, chatted with new classmates, posed for photos in front of the welcome board, and captured their first moments at Zhejiang University.

To ensure an efficient registration process and provide a welcoming arrival experience, the Office of International Chinese Language Education formed a dedicated working team during the winter break to coordinate every aspect of the registration, including pre-arrival notifications, on-site guidance, and emergency response plans.

Under the full moon of the Lantern Festival, new dreams took shape at Yuquan Campus. The warmth of this traditional festival marked the beginning of an unforgettable journey for the new students. Following the registration, a series of orientation activities was launched to help students become familiar with their new environment, adapt to campus life, and prepare for their studies.
Supported by Zhejiang University's century-long academic tradition and inspired by the vibrant and innovative city of Hangzhou, students are set to broaden their horizons through language learning and cross-cultural exchange while creating their own memorable experiences at Zhejiang University.
