Recently, the results of the 2025 “My Beautiful Encounter with China” Essay and Short Video Competition, organized by the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE) under the Ministry of Education, were officially announced.

Zhejiang University received the “Outstanding Organization Award”, while Looking at China from Zhejiang University, a short video created by Liu Yifan, a Myanmar undergraduate majoring in Chinese Language (International Students), won the “Star of Popularity” Award (Short Video Category).

I am deeply honored to receive this award. This recognition belongs not only to me, but also to my university and teachers, whose unwavering support has accompanied me along the way. I sincerely thank everyone who has encouraged and believed in me, and I am especially grateful for this invaluable experience of studying in China. Moving forward, I hope to continue growing alongside China, embracing every opportunity at Zhejiang University, and writing many more inspiring stories of my beautiful encounter with China.

The “My Beautiful Encounter with China” series for international students has been successfully held for nine consecutive years. Zhejiang University has consistently attached great importance to the competition by carefully selecting and encouraging outstanding international students to participate. Drawing on their personal experiences of studying and living in China, participants are encouraged to document what they see and experience, share their reflections, and tell authentic, vivid, and heartfelt stories about China from the perspective of young people.

Looking ahead, Zhejiang University will continue to guide international students in gaining a genuine, multidimensional, and comprehensive understanding of contemporary China, while encouraging both Chinese and international students to tell China’s stories well and share China’s voice with the world.
