Recently, the 2026 World Digital Education Conference was held in Hangzhou. During the conference, Zhejiang University's “Smart Chinese” intelligent learning platform, developed by the International College, made its official debut and was integrated into the “iChinese” Learning Community, a global Chinese-language learning platform established by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) under China's Ministry of Education. Through the platform, Chinese language learners worldwide can preview Smart Chinese and experience its efficient and intelligent learning environment.

 “Smart Chinese” is an AI-powered adaptive learning platform built on large language model (LLM) technology. Fully aligned with the Chinese Proficiency Grading Standards for International Chinese Language Education, the platform features a comprehensive five-dimensional intelligent assessment system covering listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation. It dynamically evaluates learners' proficiency, generates personalized learning pathways, and recommends extensive learning resources tailored to individual needs. Through regular reassessments, the platform tracks learners' progress and optimizes their learning experience.
