A new stop, setting off from ZheJiang! From September 8 to 9, over a thousand Zhejiang University international students of the Class of 2026 crossed time zones and national borders to gather in Hangzhou, officially beginning their Zhe days by the banks of Qizhen Lake.

In the faint morning light, shuttle vehicles carrying the first batch of new students drove into the campus, marking the start of this year's orientation work. As early as the summer vacation, the International College established a special working group, meticulously refining every detail—from online pre-registration to on-site flow design, from accommodation arrangements to cultural adaptation support—striving to create a smooth and warm first stop of enrollment for international newcomers.

Inside the registration hall, a smart display screen updated real-time registration progress by time slot and campus; in front of the data cockpit, students, with a touch of novelty, watched the data on the screen jump in real time with great interest. The one-stop student service station launched this year has been put into orientation service, making service more efficient and the process smoother. The leadership team of the International College warmly greeted the new students at the registration site, then met face-to-face with representative international freshmen at the student apartments and sent birthday wishes to students who had recent birthdays. Every faculty member, logistics staff member, and international student volunteer devoted themselves to their work with full enthusiasm, allowing students who had come from afar to feel Zhejiang University warmth from the very first moment.

This year's orientation work was efficiently advanced through coordinated efforts across multiple campuses and units. The Zijin'gang Campus registration point, the Yuquan Campus Chinese language refresher student registration point, the International Campus (Haining International Campus), the Belt and Road International School of Medicine, and other campuses and units deployed in advance and planned carefully, with clear and prominent registration guidance and orderly on-site conditions.

In order to help new students integrate into the Qiushi Garden more quickly, the International College thoughtfully prepared orientation gift packages containing the 2026 International Student Freshman Guide, the International Student Handbook, the International Student Safety Handbook, the Course Selection Guide, campus maps, school badges, and college-exclusive cultural T-shirts and other practical items, full of the college's care and expectations for everyone.

At the registration site, students either chatted excitedly or stopped to take photos, and one youthful smiling face after another formed a beautiful scenery line. Carrying infinite longing for the future, they injected fresh vitality into the Qiushi Garden.
